Switchee, founded in 2015 by a team studying at INSEAD business school, was conceived as a simple way to improve the lives of people living in rented homes. The founders believed that internet-connected technology could be applied to help social landlords better manage their stock and reduce fuel bills for residents. The solution; a smart thermostat designed specifically for landlords with a dashboard providing real-time data and actionable insights.
Co-founders Adam Fudakowski (CEO) &
Ian Napier (CCO) ran the business until 2019 when Ian died in tragic circumstances. Following Ian’s death, the team resolved to continue growing the business in his memory. In 2020, the remaining co-founder Adam hired Tom Robins into the business and a year later promoted him to CEO. Under Tom’s stewardship the business has continued to grow and now serves over 100 social housing providers in the UK and the Netherlands.
